Just to discuss about Bloom, especially Now during that pvp where ap Spam is everywhere…
Is a repeatable shield for a camo Monster with sirious sweeping Potential to much ?
Only a View ‘real’ counters like delugazar or alba (alba doesnt really count as shield is difficult to remove)
Maybe Change mortar to deos charging move ?
No shields Every charge, but therefore health Regeneration.
And no i dont complain, i can easily handle that stuff, its just an idea to discuss about
Btw. It wont be a mortar Monster anymore …
Feel free to discuss
I like that idea personally, it still fits with his survival aspect without making him immune to damage so often with the shield and camo combo. I’m all for it
Its just a Thread for discussion, with this Statement i just want To prevent These Posts of People that say i cry because i cant do anything against that Monster…
I said a long time ago that we needed a mortar killer but people were quick to dismiss me.
I know a lot of people may not agree but my bunkerbeast is the reason why I have won so many games and I’m sure if I had bloom, I would have doubled my wins. I thibk shield should stay because healing is irrelevant when everything that is considered viable has to one shot. Sheild gets countered by poison but there is no way to immediately get rid of the problem. We either need a sheild killer or mortar killer.
Even if I don’t have bloom or probably will never have, I don’t think it’s necessary to nerf her instead of just creating a monster that deals with her occasionally.
Hmm, it is true that bloom would intrude on Deo’s role. While he lacks stun immunity and incredible speed, he more than makes up for it with camo and the ability to protect his team from stun. I suppose you could make the argument that Deo is still superior in certain scenarios, such as facing stealthbane or a team with just enough stun to shut bloom down without having planned to stun the rest of the team anyway, which is really the only possible justification for newer monsters being almost straight upgrades to old ones. If the devs really wanna take that route then I guess we can’t stop them, but it’s possible they could give deo some way to be more versatile or difficult to get rid of in order to put him on the same level.
Firstly, mortar monsters were seriously lacking a stun absorber.
Secondly, it’s quite slow to do things (~160s from entry when it’s potted to +5) and very easily disabled with stun.
If you want to kill it… there are a large number of counters to shields (mostly piercing and poison) plus you have stealthbane on: Delugazar, Albakhan, Jaguardian, Prismegasus, Spectrefox, Pontibear and maybe a couple of others I can’t recall.
When it does get to the sweeping it, like many mortar monsters, is not the fastest. Load mortar + tsunami mortar is 200TU (130+70). Also, it doesn’t guarantee kills on slow legendaries, storm monsters or on mythics.
I will totally agree it’s the best stun absorber in the game, camouflage + good defence + shielding makes it a menace to kill and it has a diverse moveset that allows it to help greatly in every situation. However, it’s simply the most recent monster to be among the best. Take a look at Dolphreeze or Dracorosa which came out at the very end of last year and are incredibly powerful sweepers which also offer good support. They’re just as good as Bloom but don’t get as much hate I guess because they’re not as hard to kill.
Point is, Bloom is not broken with any of its mechanics and there are other monsters just as strong. I don’t think it needs nerfing and I think it would be a great shame for the mortar archetype to have such a strong monster removed from it.
P.S. I’d like to point out how Bloom is a recently discovered power house and has been featured in an egg just at the same time as a special rules PvP where it shines. That is absolutely a recipe for lots of people running it and lots of people getting annoyed with it. A monster should not be judged at times like this… it should be judged when we see its place in the general meta and when people’s views are not clouded.
Then the problem is auto-protect monsters, not Bloom. Any good camouflaged sweeper would do well in that scenario.
It’s like with Malwing + Onigeist. I am of the opinion the problem is Onigeist since it can abuse any entrance passive rather than Malwing who is simply the monster with a good entrance passive worth abusing.
Actually they changed his passive from sleep immunity to insomnia but yeah, I see what you mean. (Also that nerf probably was for OoO FL instead of a direct angelion nerf)
Bloom was exactly what mortar meta needed to become useful again. I disagree with changing it, Bloom filled the gap that made mortar lineups weak. Changing Bloom would be nerfing mortar teams which already struggle as it is. It may be annoying to deal with but it is in no way broken.
