Common opinion is that the link mechanic is bad. Currently there are no viable strategies that make link worth running. In order to make link worthwhile, monsters need to have powerful abilities that can only be used when link requirements are satisfied. Instead we mostly had mons whose link abilities were only decent and even if they didn’t have the link requirement, they still wouldn’t be that great.
The changes to Azrazel came very close to finally solving that problem and moving link in the right direction. Moving azrazel to to 77 speed makes him a viable front line monster and entrance enabler. Unfortunately Ziberius has 81 speed and a very common strategy is to have zib canabalize a DR mon to bring in motor. This will instantly bring in a shell on the other teams side, automatically disrupting the link requirement, so even azrazels faster speed is still mostly irrelevant in this meta.
There are a few solutions. Concerning only azrazel, they could increase his speed to 85, keeping him under the OOO mons but outspeedung zib. Second they could lower Zib to 75 speed to give Azrazel the edge.
A third option for link as a whole is to only require 3 of 4 monsters to match the type. That would greatly increase the playability of all of the link monsters, instead of just azrazel and would alleviate the bronzeshell issue that prevents link from doing really anything at all in PVP.

If were talking about link, I think overall the moveset of Prismaryx is pretty good. But his link slayerbane all, kind of is pathetic, considering most of the meta monsters are thunder, and few good once exist that are holy. That alone is a pretty enormous burden, which should be rewarded with at least some hefty damage, yet having tried it several times quite the opposite was shown. The damage defiantly could use a buff, his link slayerbane all, but also dual slayerbane. The damage of dual slayerbane should at least get Se tanks to red if not HG, not leave them somewhere in the yellow zone.
( i had another idea where his link move works like an assisted move, where damage increases via enemy kills done or the amount of holy monsters present. not restricting him to have a full holy set up )

I see what your saying but he isnt supposed to become an entrance controlling monster but get his kill and punish… which he can do at 50 tu, like geo but much faster… and better with double bloodcrave…
Also making zib slower then lavamane is well stupid I’d say, as then zib losses his main purpose
But yeah link has to become better, as currently it feels like a punishment
If you lowered zib then it would follow that lava should be lowered as well, but that was not a serious suggestion anyway. Motor is the real problem with fast canabalizer mons anyway. They just need to find a way to make link playable in a world where 9-10 games involve fast bronzeshells. I actually really like polareons new SS. Probably the next best link move as he will have a good synergy with other water sleepers. I think many will use that SS to help with UC. It can help mitigate multiple missed sleeps off of storm if you are trying to play without goldy
Azra looks great now with the buffs and I’d argue it’s stronger than Zib. It’s 4% speed slower meaning Zib can work as a counter along with Motor but 4% really isn’t a lot (Azra will get turns first occasionally) and tbh it’s always good to have counters. The speed it can charge double bloodcrave is quite insane and always has the stun revenge passive when the opponent puts it down to stop it sweeping.
Link in general I agree is way too awkward to be viable in most cases. I feel like you either have to use the best monsters you have (early-mid game) then the best legendaries you have (late game). So the only time you can actually consider getting link monsters into a viable setup is if you are a late game spender with a large selection of legendaries. I would love to use my Ashterios but can’t work him into my team without bringing the team down overall.
I like the idea of “link” and think it has great potential for working. However, any link move needs to be very strong/useful and the monster should be able to function without the need of that link move. The best kind of link move would be a one-time use which requires no prior setup (i.e. kills) and is not relied upon by the monster to give its main use.
E.g. 1) Ashterios’ main use is sweeping. That is done with the link move (i.e. you must maintain a fire team at all times). The link move requires setup, a kill, so this gives the opponent time to stop you from having 4 fire monsters out. Ashterios does have good ways of getting one kill, at least, but cannot do much more than 1-2 kills without the link. This is an example of a very poor link monster.
E.g. 2) Azra has a one-time use link move use to charge the sweeping move. Coupled with high speed this makes it far easier to pull off. Prisma has a one-time use link move as a secret skill. Prisma is all about killing and can do so with the normal skills. But the SS can be used to sweep a line of monsters under the right conditions. It’s simply a very strong move in addition to the normal monster so has the restriction of link. These two monsters are places where I think the link moves were done very well.
I think 3 monsters req for a link move will make a big difference in facor of link moves.
Also, if possible, link moves can have different TU / damage according to how much of thr same element you got. Like link cannibalaize with 4 dark monsters = 50 tu, and with 3 dark monsters = 100 tu
