I got the PvP number 1 icon!
My sons 10 year old friend did that too. We warned him, but he was convinced the 999 icon was for real.
He was very sad and eventually quit the game.
My son keeps his friend ID in his list, three digit number of days offline. It looks so sad when I play on his account.
Now he spends his Google Play voucher cards and pocket money on Stumble Guys.

It was a very good and fun idea, but if they loose too many potential paying players, then I guess it is not worth it, so they might be more careful now.
