The monsters in live events and epic monsters are straight up outclassed by the super epics and legendaries of the same type found in eggs. This causes
The gap between players who have legendaries and super epics and those who only have epics and a few supers, to be huge.
Here’s the problem: most monsters have similar skill sets, they fit into archetypes, time strikers, poison eaters, etc. the super epics and legendary versions of these monsters out straight out class the epic versions. This causes opponents, who are at reletively the same skill level, to always give the victory to the owner of the better monsters, not necessarily the best strategy. Yeah, tiers would solve this, but tiers won’t really be based off of skill. Tiers would essentially be those with a lot of legendaries or super epics, and those who don’t have those in lower tiers. A strong super epic and legendary start can one shot every monster coming in from a non super epic/legendary team before they can even move, due to the stat difference, the speed stat more specifically. If you are using say, octosprout, which is an epic with poison massacre, you can’t set up for the massacre without a stun or a poison revenge, while a team using a legendary or super epic poison massacre will have no problem setting up against your team, because you simply won’t be doing enough damage with normal, non critical attacks. Also, non critical attacks on super epics and legendaries can take out over half many of my epic monsters health, while mine barely take out over a quarter…
A fix would be make epics available to find like the hatchlings and starters were, they are hard to obtain, but you don’t just have to get lucky in eggs, so even if you have bad luck, you can obtain one. Then you can have only super epics and legendaries in the live events. The live event strategy in hunter island also worked well, it had strong monsters in the event each week. The live events in Neo monsters don’t have that good monsters, only epics, that can be completely outclassed by their super epic and legendary counterparts.
An example would be esapidon vs giravine or angelon vs cliocupid. They essentially fill the same roles, but one is completely outclassed by the other. Giravine would be a monster in the live event, while esapidon would be from an egg. Who has the advantage? The one who got lucky with an egg.
Tldr, put epics in the wild, and have only super epics and legendaries in live events to even out teams and players.
