Stun counter, tanky, easy piercing kills and no team building requirements. I imagine she’s a default choice as stun protection for many people who own her. The recent Onika and Prismegasus buffs put them in a similar playing field but they’re still less generic and overall the number of comparable monsters for that slot are quite few.
I personally find myself using Momo in almost every team since I awakened her. She’s usually my choice of (1) restricted monster. That’s me choosing to be lazy though. When I’m feeling more creative I go for other forms of stun protection.
Yes. Picking Momo as your (1) limited when you have access to a larger collection just feels like lazy team-building.
I’ve had Momo benched for months now, but I understand the appeal for smaller accounts. She fits into almost any lineup, brings solid support, and can still be a real threat on her own.
That said, I’d much prefer if her morph restriction was changed from element-based to simply “only one Momo in team.”
I almost never see anyone use this. I love surprising opponents with it and messing up their plans! When you get another repulse, switch back then repulse again you can put them in a position they really didn’t see coming.
It’s definitely only “solo” because of the “mono” thing. I don’t think Momo needs the buff but making it mono could be nice
People skip turn so much in PvP to keep things chaining together. I think this point about losing tempo is completely wrong. Obviously people won’t randomly use it, but if you don’t immediately need to kill an enemy then Momo’s options of repulse, lifeflip enemy and switching into a protector are brilliant flexibility and all come at much lower TU than fastbreaker so they often help you chain your turns better.
I reckon most people forget the move switching her into a protector even exists and so they don’t notice when there are good times to use it.
If you had to recommend me to choose a stun protection which can also be used as generic sweeper what will you suggest? Momo, obsidia, mechangilion? I seriously lack mythic stun protection and also nearly all my sweepers are conditional!!
You’d think he does, but he really dossent and it’s hard to lineup when it does, damule and medusa enteres a match with camo/stealth and he does not bypass that, pandora enters fast and she 2 shots him so you’d need some serious maneuvering to pull that one of and most players won’t give you the time you need for that especily since he is slow
If I am going to recomend a bisector that’s genericly good I’d say go for Cinder.
Thanks didn’t thought about those cases his moveset seems really fine to me, I also conveniently runs Link water or shadow regularly, i might consider primegasus
Primageus is really strong in link teams, but he is also limited to link teams only so he is a kinda niche pick, it’s the same thing for hadeshoof even if he is a really effective sweeper if he gets going, mecha also have a solid moveset but he gets very locked down by only having spesific things he can target, that’s why momo and cinder is more generic as they can just do everything on their own with no real restrictions
Skip turns aligns the fast breaker better while still keeping stun protection on the field, also having a protector these days is more of a liability than an asset, they can be killed easily for free and gain a turn or for as low as 25 tu, also to use that skill you must not have a holy monsters which adds a limitation to team building and raw monsters which makes it not worth it
furthermore players intended to play for a one shot kill thats why you see players with piercing or poison are the popular choice in pvp, making healing skills almost useless in most situations
these losing tempo moves should do something additional to compensate for the tempo lost, otherwise they barely get played
Talking mythics, Bastia is also a great form of stun protection. It’s my second go-to generic stun protection, after Momo. However, you need to be comfortable building teams without reliance on entrances and otherwise have the right collection to do so. I wouldn’t recommend her to someone unless they’ve already got a strong account.
