Valley of pyramids

The valley of pyramids costs 30 tickets and gives out 1 random pyramid, this means if I need 2 pyramids of same type, I would need to battle 36 times!(hoping the probability doesn’t give me some other pyramid thrice) . Pls make each misson give out atleast 2 pyramids

I believe your calculations are quite incorrect. Why 36x times?

There are only 7 different pyramids inside this event, where the Cryptamid places only 4% chance and the others each 16% chance. This % are of course just my assumptions, they are not officially confirmed.

It’s basic probability bud, there are 6 type of pyramids(let’s exclude omegamaid rn and add it’s probability equally to all the other pyramids)
Let’s say I want 2 fire type pyramids, my chance of getting 1 fire type pyramid is 1/6(as there are 6 types of pyramid), now if I want 2 fire type pyramids probability becomes 1/6 x 1/6 = 1/36

What I’m saying is when I play 36 matches then I will get the probability of having 2 pyramids of same type

Actually few months ago to get fire pyramid I spend about 6 full nectar and 12 half nectar ( I don’t remember it correctly) but I was helpless at that time. It really sucks

But why do the valley when you can do the elemental dungeons

C’mon man :joy:, then how about we make the elemental dungeon return only after every 3 months! More learning of patience then!

Bruh there are endless possibilities man !
Element dungeon is best option
And i haven’t donne valley of pyramids from a year !

I know I’m a few days late to this, but 1/36 is the probability of getting a specific pyramid (e.g. Pyramid) twice in a row.

Here’s the actual basic probability…
You want Pyramid, which has 16% drop rate, but let’s just say it’s 1/6 to work in fractions. That means it’s an average of 6 runs to get 1 Pyramid. You need two of them so that’s 2 * 6 = 12 runs.

This is the simulation of 200.000 tries. Thanks go to my friend I discussed the matter with and created the code. This simulation doesn’t use 16%, but 16.66.

Yep made a small mistake, ty for pointing that out, but still… isn’t 12 trials a bit too much?

According to the graph, the highest chance is at about 8x

It’s certainly many tries but like others said, it’s better to wait for the elemental dungeon and grind that. Also if I’m not mistaken, the pyramid valley gives 3 k xp which is very useful for a newer account to rank up.

It’s really not that bad;
if your limit is ticket count (lets say you have ~60 tickets max), then you can run 6x per day at most. It would be almost double that, since you get ~280 tickets per day at the normal replenish rate, but you also only get 3 keys per day. So right now your limit is your max ticket amount (and if your max tickets are that low, doing the pyramid valley mission is a great way to increase your level early on!)
Anyway, that means it should take you around 2 days to get both pyramids you’re looking for.

You can always use the elemental dungeon event (happening right now!), which is only 25 tickets and not locked behind one of your keys. You can do this ~11 times per day regardless of your max ticket level, since you get 1 ticket every 5 minutes and the event costs 25 tickets. You have a 1 in 5 chance of getting a pyramid, which means 10 plays should (on average) net you 2 pyramids of the same type. The event lasts for 4 days, you should be able to do this 4 times. After it ends you can go back to the less-favorable pyramid valley stats.

This is a game that rewards patience, moreso than any other I’ve played. The long-term payoffs actually outweigh what you can get by pure grinding in a long play session (or frankly even what you can get by spending a bunch of cash on gems, because you’d still need to wait for rare ingredients and ocarinos and the different banner eggs to rotate out).

If we were going to gripe about anything, I’d say it should be the probability of getting a special pyramid, right now its like 1 in 200 or less. It should be like 1 in 20 for a cryptmid, 1 in 50 for omegamid. The only other way to earn these reliably is by waiting for the rare ingredient quest every 16 days, which is very slow considering most legends require 2 or 3 rare ingredients to UE. That’s one legend per month regardless of your play level… I’m a patient guy but even I think that’s a little silly.

It’s 1 in 25 for a cryptamid, I’m pretty sure.

I grinded the pyramid valley many years ago and got hundreds of each type because it was a great place to get exp (4000 for 30 tickets) while also getting ingredients that have a use (I haven’t needed to farm any ingredients for 5+ years because I grinded them with all spare tickets early on).

That’s good to know, I’ll have to give it another go. I just remember playing for hours and getting bupkis, so I assumed the drop rate was really very low.

Is there any way to grind for omegamids? I have over 40 legends waiting to UE, and if I only get them from the rare ingredient event every 16 days, it’ll take me nearly 2 years to do them all.

I’ve exhausted all the story missions I can do, I can’t beat the extreme lvl2 super challenge battles, and only rarely get them from limited events since they typically are only rewarded at the very end (if at all).

Am I missing something?

Unfortunately there isn’t much of a short cut. The main way originally was SCB lvl 2, but I haven’t been keeping track how often that gives other rewards instead. The one every 16 days + PvP are probably your most reliable ways to get them. When it’s a SCB with an Omegamid try really hard to figure out how you can build a team to do it. There are many ways to cheese battles like creating tokens in the enemy team.
