It is true that @Laxus and some DLGZ players have been helping us to discover a few bugs and security flaws in the game. We really appreciate them, but also very disappointed when we found out what they did recently.
But in their defense, it is not entirely wrong when they said they are also victims. We understand in some countries, such as Cuba and China, they cannot download or spend in Neo Monsters in same the way other users do. Gaming environment in China has been getting worse and worse since this year, and those DLGZ players entrusted their accounts to a hacker alleging that he can get them gems with discounted price. They only learned the truth after they got the accounts back.
They knew they were wrong and regretted. Since they donât have any bad records in the past and they are excellent players with enthusiasm and passion, we decided to give them a chance with several conditions. We wanted to keep it private because this case is special, and any case involved the countries that cannot acquire Neomon normally is special. But since it is on public now, we have gathered the feedbacks from other players, knowing that what we did is never enough. Therefore, we will be applying the following punishment on top of the original one:
The gems those players received from Fortune Shrine will be removed.
Those players will not be able to participate ranked pvp until they have paid all the gems back. They can still play unranked pvp.
Lastly, we are deeply sorry for making our users disappointed at the measure we took on this event. Weâve read through all the feedback and will be doing better jobs next time.
Honestly sounds like a cartel job. Being transparent with the community is infinitely better.
The only just punishment is to ban all the accounts that were involved. Iâve seen many cases in games like Star Wars the Old Republic, where players discovered currency farming exploits. All accounts that took part in it were banned regardless how much they regretted it, how enthusiastic they were or how much money they had spent on the game. And I do believe in second chances, but in these cases the second chance should be a new account.
It wonât matter cause they already got good collections with hacks, finished all bonded with god mode, now they are gonna pay up those gems and get back to normal?
Yes, this is what bothers me the most. They pay some nominal fee and get to keep the monsters they gathered using questionable methods during who knows how long? Even the thought of it is inconceivable!
@Dev_VKC there is a big, huge difference in between exploiting and using mods or cheat.
Can you quantify in cash the damage they did to ZigZag by getting a huge amount of gems in early game?
Is huge. You are a dev, you know that.
I see that they played with passion over the years, but I saw many new players leaving the game because too difficult to grind.
And now? Suddenly we negotiate.
I would totally understand if the exploit was an internal game failure, but using mods and cheats to get a huge early collection?
As a former spender I feel insulted, I could have spent thousand of dollars less by doing the same.
Hello! From the point of view of the big picture, I agree with your approach. No one makes mistakes, and they do need a chance, and I think most tolerant players will give them that chance. But all this assumes that their cheating gains donât affect other players. In fact, rather than banning these people from the arena, have you considered forcibly removing the monsters they acquired through illegal gems? This is the root cause that affects normal players and I hope you will consider it. Secondly, I would like to tell you that not all DLGZ members participated in the cheating, cheaters can only represent their own behavior, they can not represent any group, it is a pity that DLGZ was destroyed by this part of the selfish cheaters. Finally, I would like to express my apologies for putting you in such a difficult position. Whatever decision you make, I will always support you!
Some pro players on Clash Royale got gems with discounts on some third world sites and guess what? They got is accounts banned most of then maxxed accounts , they didnt give a shift they banned it period. @Dev_VKC i expect you do (kinda )the same thing cheating its not the same thing as exploiting a bug
They knew what they where doing
Im not saying they deserve a perma ban but at least remove all achievements, gems and monsters got by that process , followed for a ban on PVP and remove is last achievements at pvp
Its the least you can do ,otherwhise cheating compensates and you are literally on every single player who loves the game and play it with love and passion
Are you thinking about the impact of other players?
First and foremost, itâs very important to have powerful monsters in the team. This is because the winning percentage will increase if there are powerful monsters. Because of this, many users are paying or accumulating Gems for event rewards.
If they illegally obtained Gems, it means that they were able to acquire a monster illegally. And it can be considered that they were able to achieve good results due to the monsters obtained by fraud.
(Of course, not all of this is due to this, but I think it is due to some.)
In this case, it is probable that other players did not get the rewards they originally got due to their influence.
For example, in Season 36, there are top 10 and DLGZ-L and laxus. Given that without them, BOUNCY and Urpetrax, who were originally 11th and 12th, were within 10th, I would be dissatisfied with this decision if I were in their position. Looking at their rate, itâs clear that theyâve spent a lot of time on PvP, and itâs unconvincing if they didnât get what they were supposed to get by a rogue user. Excluding the users who cheated in this way, some players originally received rewards that were worse than originally obtained, such as within 10th place, within 20th place, within 50th place, etc⌠(I donât know when the fraud started, but if it was before Season 36, I think it would have affected quite a lot of users.)
Finally, I think it is up to the developer to decide whether to keep it secret or not. But keep in mind that trying to conceal things that affect many users is likely to distrust you.
