If they quit the game by clicking run or closing app, it should not freeze the game so long.
And yet it happens 
Some are just leaving the app in background and coming time to time not to be disconnected… I just met someone called “Thelegend27” using that. First when he saw that he was losing, he made every turn last 29 seconds, trying to annoy me, hoping that I leave I suppose … Then when he saw that was not working, he froze the game and ten minutes after he made an action. I suppose he was hoping that I left the phone just waiting and that he will win by 3 times no actions.
It can’t understand any pleasure in this, even if it works with some … The sadest thing is that this guy is regularly in the top 100 and an “old” user… Poor theledeng27 (yep no caps for you).
I think when you wait too much time, each turn should reduce given time by 1sec (29, 28 27 … ). With that, annoying haters would not be able to annoy so much.
Sometimes people need time to think about a complicated position. You are telling people that if they think about the best move they should be punished for it.
You have no proof that he was doing it to annoy you. It could be that he was just using the given time to think. It also could be that your internet connection was slow/unstable at the time.
Last I checked, being annoyed at your opponent doesn’t help you win. Instead of getting annoyed, think about possible options to close out the game/get out of a bad position. I actually would love to run into someone that waits like this so that I could have an extra 3 mins to think. That much time for me to think about the position would end up securing me a win. Patience will give you wins. I guarantee it.
The game freezing is stupid though.
Some moves require time to think, OK I’m an not discussing this. BUT if someone needs 29 seconds for EACH move … Come on let’s be serious, you know what it means. But maybe that thelegend27 is such a ret.ard that he need 29 seconds to decide weither he should choose “Life flip self” or “Attack” with his bronzeshells.
If in the game you have to think for 20 seconds for some moves, OK. But reducing the timer if you wait each move looks legit to me.
Yes, would be great to see our match actually end.
Instead: “reconnection” -> game freezes -> “DEFEAT” -> -52 points.

Sometimes, you don’t have 30 minutes to spend for one game. They just expect that you have something better to do or that you will be disconnected. I can’t agree with you and I have the proof, when it is exactly 29 seconds each turn, that cannot be connection or thinking time or his connection is very stable in unstability … Sometimes what is obvious is simply true
Of course, cause that’s how this bug works, at least what i have experienced with other. No matter if you wait or not it’s either a loss for both or a win for both, but it always says “defeat” at the end. That’s why I no longer wait more than 2 mins after the freeze before I quit.
Thank you. Just because of your post I didn’t leave after this little sun of a beach (if you know what I mean 
)froze the game on purpose. He had 3 mons left and I had 10, when his drag aus got the move the game froze but there was no “reconnection” or the typical signs which made me remember your post. After 5 minutes or so he came back and skipped his turn with dragaia. Just disgusting behavior.
