It’s a Candy 2.0 fiasco. Good luck stuffing your entire team with 35 speeds and be stuck with them once your Gieh is dead.
A lot of slow monsters have roaring entrance so it’s fine I guess lol but yeah I didn’t realise it was the WHOLE team. Tokens won’t be a problem unless you royally screw up so it’s not as bad candy. It does limit team building but a deserved restriction for how powerful the effect is. I think if anything, it should promote some unique teams.
Edit: You can also make a slow endgame with him too since it doesn’t care about team placement. I’m so in love with this legendary lol
Valid say, it’s 39 or below *
I’m sorry guys, but I agree with VKC here.
I really really wanted it buffed and I think if any monster is going to be overpowered then it should be something that encourages a unique way of building a team. A link team enabler is perfect for that, it’s a payoff for going link and also helps you try to build a link team. So I was fine it being overpowered… but it was DEFINITELY overpowered.
I haven’t voiced my opinion on it, but I’ve seen top teams using Prismegasus and always felt it’s ridiculously strong. I was happy though, for the reason I said above. When I got it myself in the anniversary I immediately realised that actually it’s too strong. Every time I’m building a team since, I feel encouraged to change the construction slightly so that I can fit Prismegasus into my team. I don’t think that’s healthy. I was also messaged right after the anniversary by multiple people who awakened Prismegasus telling me how it felt super strong when they played it.
The instant shield all was the key part making it “overbuffed”, the monster simply did too much on its first turn. At 70TU it’s still great, but much more fair. I agree with GMagic that doing a double nerf is often not a good way to do things but I think Prismegasus is still in a good place. 160TU for a double piercing kill and you often want to do it when you get the turn again from stun anyway is a perfectly good move.
I’m glad to see lots of people standing in defence of it though. We don’t want random monsters getting nerfed that weren’t causing a problem. However, I think this is one that was slipping under the radar and the Devs probably got more stats on how well it’s performing after more people awakened it in the anniversary.
Maybe back then. Everyone had it turned off because Azulyn was in every top team anyway. Now it will be turned off for good.
Hey thanks man!
I do have a question though (eh, more like a statement):
Why were people taking time out of their day to message you specifically about Pris being too strong after the awakened it? That seems weird?
TBH, Thordragon and Archseraph’s pre-evos definitely needed that nerf, because stun is so common back in Neo’s early days that you’re kinda screwed against some of the offline and online story fights.
I don’t remeber if Lifeflip All has any restrictions priot to this update.
Pteroling with Give Turn isn’t really all that busted in PVE (I’m excluding PVP).
Spines on Prickster is definitely a much needed buff. (It’s a cactus for crying out loud!)
Giving Legend Secret Skills (Saving Spell and Second Wind) as regular skills to some Legends and the Gaiawolf line (which is a Super Epic) is kinda overkill TBH.
This was acctualy a nerf and not a buff ![]()
I was chatting with quite a few people around the anniversary and a common topic was the new monsters they got. I think something like 4 people mentioned it to me. One of those unprompted and one literally as the conversation opener from their side, so I took that as enough to legitamise the way I phrased it.
