As we all know, getting ingredients for evolving is pain, not even by whaling is it possible at any given time to expect to get some of the rarer materials (mouths) and often even Omegamids, because there is simply no avenue.
So maybe the Super Power Up Event could be changed in the “special monster” category to be the same as the Silver and Super de-age, i.e. once a day, allowing users to get 3 ingredients every 2 weeks, which is quite balanced.
I feel the game is all about trying new mons and strats, but it does suck if ultra evolution is stopping you from using what you want 
Maybe a fee of 1-5 gems for every time a user seeks to get a new rare ingredient? If that is how the devs feel, it would be better than no ingredients at all
