Irritating things in Neo

That’s exactly what is to be defined toxic, your behaviour can be categorised as cyber-bullying and can lead people that cannot handle it to bad consequences.

You strike me as someone who frequently uses the word “toxic” irl to describe anyone who disagrees with you

That has nothing to do with disagreeing or else, has everything to do with the way you do it.
Your memes are disrespectful big time and I honestly don’t even know why that meme section is still open because most of jokes there are really over the line, but be my guest to continue, since is your only way to get 10 minutes of notoriety.
If I’d be a mod I’ll be really really strict on jokes, because jokes are ok as long as respect is included, when a joke does target somebody personally that does not cut.

So not only I blame you for being a toxic troll but also blame mods for being to permissive with that.

You’ve misunderstood memes then. They’re not to be taken seriously if you haven’t caught on

I think some people take things too personally, maybe they should toughen up a little :slightly_smiling_face::+1:

This response isn’t targeted to you personally, just a bigger picture kind of thing to the statement in general.

Should we “toughen up” to deal with other people having their own opinion? Is that not freedom of speech? Shouldn’t everyone be fundamentally entitled to their own opinions, and thus should, in theory, be able to say whatever they want, and if someone takes offense to it, they should learn how to toughen up and deal with it?

The answer is ABSOLUTELY YES.

Flip side of the coin however…

Should we not adjust the way we talk and think based on others feelings? Is that not the embodiment of empathy? Is freedom of speech an outdated construct that more or less supports ignorance and people’s ability to be oppressive without anyone opposing their viewpoints? Shouldn’t everyone be fundamentally entitled to their own emotions, and this should, in theory, be able to feel however they choose, and if someone doesn’t like being told what they are doing hurts someone else, they should learn how to empathize and maybe change their way of thinking?

The answer is ABSOLUTELY YES.

These ideals, both being pushed to radical sides, are both fundamentally true and absolutely needed. What remains to be seen is how to find a common middle ground. Yes, people should be able to say and do whatever they want, but they should also be aware of how it affects others and learn to work together, while at the same time those affected should learn how to adapt and rise above such things. It’s a “you can’t have your cake and eat it too” situation for both sides of this scenario, and it’s nothing new. This has gone on for centuries, and the affects can be seen ranging from things as horrible as the Holocaust and PC Culture, to things that being us together and have us work as a team.

A common middleground is what needs to be found, but the internet changed things because then people could have whatever opinion they wat without being able to see the affects firsthand. What is humourous to one can be detrimental to the other. All it takes for chaos to ensue is one act, one deed, good or bad, that can make or change future history. The Holocaust, for all it’s horrors and hardships, could be traced back and attributed to a single caracature of a Jewish man with an abnormally large nose. This would seem harmless, but it set the spark for one of the most terrible events in recent human history.

Yes, this is long winded and taking things to the Nth degree as far as context, but it’s all relative in today’s world. Simple fact and middle ground of the matter is this: think before you speak, and think before you respond

Also @DonT89 :

Can you share some examples of some of my Neo memes that are “really over the line?” I’m genuinely curious which ones qualify here

Unnecessary comment made to irritate, this is an example of what I was talking about.

I’d have to open a thread only to do that, since are countless.

Do that, and make a ratio of how many times you’ve asked for icon vs over the border memes so we can see the magnitude of it

Do it then.

Don’t describe memes as being “really over the line” and then backtrack when you get asked for examples :joy:

You are such a poodle @DonT89

How asking for an icon and make over the border memes even compare?

Is like comparing 100 robberies with a single murder.

Yes this, but also people on internet tend to poke at things that clearly are an easy target. If you show you’re offended or irritated then others see it like a lemming waiting to be played with

That’s just the latest you did.

Explain? Laxus, a person from china was a proven hacker and cesar had his acc banned so I don’t quite understand how that is offensive. More like using facts to make a good meme

Hahahaha that’s golden, good repost

Cesar did play his ranking fair and square, even VKC said that, and worked hard for his top 50, so the meme was unnecessary and honestly offensive against the effort of a player that gave it all to reach that spot.

This is being mean.

Those memes are made to entertain people that like this kind of stuff like @Aeronomatron.
This make me sick of stomach to be honest.

This had nothing to do with his skill or anything about him as a person. If anyone had an acc gifted to them and it was banned I’m sure gary would’ve made a meme either way.

This is just you being too soft, honestly. I see ton of memes way harsher than this everyday and I have to say gary is on the lowend offensive, if offensive at all.

Has everything to do with ridicoulouzing the effort of a player/person without even thinking about his feelings.

Tbh I feel like some of gary’s memes fall flat but that was a pretty good one lol
