@Dev_VKC you should do a trial of the HP boost in a special rule PvP. at the moment everything is speculation.

we can give better feedback if we have actually tested it. i personally think its going to be a bad idea in the long run but is a fun new element to add nonetheless.

have a special rule where we can all boost one monster on our team and see what happens.

they have a blue hp bar. great fun for colourblind people.

I have a response to this, and Its a whammy of an idea to fix the issue altogether while keeping the HO boost sought after.

@Dev_VKC if it truly is the idea and ambition for the HP boost to create an “Ace Monster” for someone’s team, then why not have it actually mean something?

Easy solution:

Step 1: a monster that has been given an HP boost due to Orbs of Vitality gets the designation “Ace Monster” when searching for it.

Step 2: in PvP modes, only one copy of an “Ace Monster” may be used in a players team.

This will cultivate the idea that Ace Monsters are special, and at the same time will allow players to use all their Ace Monsters for PvE play and Events while keeping an even playing field for PvP by limiting them to one per team.

I also feel that since doing Bond Quest is a prerequisite for getting Orb Of Vitality, that the HP boost can only be applied to monsters a player has “Max Bond” with.

A lesser idea would be increasing the cost for monsters with an HP boost, but that may prove too difficult to code.

Thoughts on this everyone? @Killerdog @squinty1880 @DonT89 @SHIKAOTOKO @DMG_Anxag @DMGInterference @Tanbeer ? If this seems like a good idea which I think it is, let’s create a poll and vote on it and if it goes through the Devs can review it and implement such a system. Makes everyone happy.

@Dev_VKC let us boost attack, defense, or HP :star_struck: but only for SEs and only one stat per Mon

Part of it is having “Ace monsters”, part of it is long-term goals rewarding diligent players. Personally, I like that we can slowly build a collection of HP boosted monsters. However, your idea of only allowing something like “X or fewer” HP boosted monsters in a team or to make their cost increase is also a good one.

I think if they ever want to release more ores of vitality they should make it give +1 cost to a monster and we can toggle whether the HP boost is applied. That will make it a nicely balanced system. However, as it currently is, it seems like a good fun long-term benefit.

Well, if we applied the change it would still make good long term goals, and with only 1 allowed for a PvP team it would encourage people to build around their “Ace” monster. I still think restricting the boost to monsters that you have max Bond with is also a good way to go, makes you really feel like you earn that HP boost and gives a goal to hit as well. The cost increase would also work, but I feel like it should be different depending on the rarity of the monster the boost is applied to. +1 for SE, +2 for Legend, +3 for Mythic or you think that’s too drastic?

On a side note, I feel the restriction on 1 per team for general PvP is a good idea and the Special Rules they do could either increase the amoujt of Ace Monsters you can have on a team or restrict them altogether. It would at least give something different to Special Rule PvP, which I personally feel has become monotonous and stale.

Way too drastic. As VKC said, HP is a stat that makes a relatively small impact when boosted. For a similar reason, I don’t think having an HP boost will make it worth building around a particular monster much more.

If you have blood moves charged an HP boost doesn’t matter

We are all aware of the changes that the increase of 1000 HP through Orbs will have on the Neo. Packs will surely come out with which the P2w benefit from Orbs. Keep in mind that it won’t take long for the Neo to retreat from full HP boosted teams. I would like to suggest that monsters like increased HP have 1 cost more than their official.How to say the cost of a secret ability, which you remove and put at ease for your team’s arrangements and thus have the game as “Balanced” as possible. O saw a game (jurĂĄssic world Alive ) start using those stats boost and it become completly broken and never got on rails again
On Neo Boosts only on épics/SE maybe legends and mythics its a big mistake
Im taking a break from the game since i saw it on the update , Lost all interest on it

Oh yeah I used to play that and the power creep is insane, as a new guy it’s still possible to get into Neo, in JWA it’s fcking impossible
and I don’t want Neo to be the same way

It will be on the long run unfortunatly

Now its HP boosts then once it gets hard to balance will come defense boosts , then speed boost until the game is broken and balance changes do nothing at all
Boosts will kill NEO
