The only normal epic monster I’m missing is Punkturkey. I know it can only be obtained from the Friend Chest, but is it on a specific day or something? Because I haven’t gotten it in almost four years.
Wikia says it used to be a reward in the Island Challenge.

Don’t rely on the friend chest. The most easy way to get it is from hatching. You’ll eventually get him .

I got it the other week; I think it’s pretty common to slowly fill that part of the monsterdex. Does anyone remember if it is available for trade during anniversary?

It is now friend chest exclusive if i remember correctly.

They’re only available in the friend chest. It confirms this with the info in the game…
Thugturkey, Santabeast and Eggsecutioner were exclusive to events during the first few months of the game for Thanksgiving (USA celebration in November), Christmas and Easter respectively. After that point they started giving out super epics as event rewards.
