Candy Discussion

The artwork is horrible. Pink isn’t my thing but the first form looks pretty good, then it just turns into some naked child. @Dev_VKC Filter it please.

The moveset design I find really cool and it’s great to see the first ever secret skill passive (although somewhat ironically the point of having a passive you can toggle is defeated here because nobody in their right mind would leave her weak to basically every killer move imaginable)!

However, as people have pointed out there is pretty high risk running her due to token disruption. There is already a heavy build requirement of making a 2-element team. Playing her at the end of the team is even more risky because you cannot rely on what monsters are left, so it truly does take effort to run her properly. I think the fact she’s countered by tokens feels a little unnecessary.

I would like if all her moves were changed:
“all other monsters in your team are X or Y element”“all other NON-TOKEN monsters…”

Note that if literally all teammates are tokens then it will switch off the moves, since there isn’t a non-token teammate with one of the elements.

Some other insights:

  • Earthstorm doesn’t seem worth building around. 50s stun is pretty cool when it does actually stun, but if you meet an enemy stun counter who you can’t target/kill then that’s going to feel very sad. It’s also bad against any stun converter with HG/shield.

  • Pyrotide might seem like the clear choice because link fire and water are good, but there are so many link monsters that you’ll want to go very heavily into one or the other and this takes up your one slot for the non-fire/water monster. Typically for link teams it’s very useful having a slot free to strengthen/support your team with something outside the element, unless you have an extremely deep collection where you can build a strong team entirely of one element (for at least 8-10 monsters).

  • Shadowlight is the obvious choice here in my mind. It’s pseudo piercing, shadow has the deepest pool of monsters to choose from, it combines incredibly well with Ldiefaeth and both holy and shadow have very little reliance on link so you’re pretty much free to pick any monster you like from the two elements.
