When i try to play online or just continue the story it says I can’t connect, I’ve been playing this game for a while and never really used the online features much but i need it now to continue the story

It happens fairly often. Try restarting the game a couple times it should work.
Sometimes the servers really do go down and can stay down for hours or even days. But currently I can log on so the issue prob isnt universal. Try restarting the app.
Probably different servers if you ask me. Sometimes the Americans could connect and europeans not.
