Bug? Death Revenge doesn't kill after Protect Focus

I think I’ve triggered a bug. It has happened only twice in months of playing, under the same conditions. 

Here’s what happens:

  1. Enemy plays Protect Focus  
  2. Rhinobrawl or Puffoxin is directly killed by another enemy (not poison or death effect)
  3. Death revenge text activates (Revenge over rhino/puff;  Poison/lethal over enemy with protect)
  4. Enemy takes little or no damage 

Has it happened to you?

This bug has been around for quite some time. I’ve used this in one of my vids as well. Idk if this is a bug or not though.

Been happening all over.

I think it’s supposed to happen actually. Not 100% sure though.
