Best tactic

What would you say is the best tactic, sleep killers, poison eaters, time strikers or novas

I’m a time striker + survivor player and it’s helped me a lot so far, there are couple times I’ve been stuck when stun absorbers are teamed with protectors.

What about you guys

There’s no best tactic. Everyone type of team has a counter to it, it’s just how lucky you are to not run into a team that counters yours.

TBH, there is no BEST tactic, unless you know in advance the lineup you will be facing during your next battle. If the entire oppositions lineup was based on sleep/hold ground…then poison might be the best tactic just for that battle. If the opposing lineup is very light on protectors, then Tinestrikers will give them fits.

In light of this reasoning, I conclude that having VERSATILITY is the best Strategy in order to be ready for one sided tactics like poison heavy teams/sleep heavy teams/ stun Tinestrikers and so fourth. I would say a well put together and highly competitive lineup has a strong defensive foundation and has multiple monsters with the following:

Poison: to combat sleep
Purify: combat sleep and poison
Stun/Protect: Combat timestrikers/stunners (death revenge stun/stun entrance/stun bomb I feel may get exploited in pvp)
Knockback: Combat time-based strategies and protectors (eg: 400 TU bombs, 300TU survival)

If a lineup can do the above in addition to run an efficient offense then we’re winning competitive games.

Or you could run a team that focuses purely on damage with Rexo. Give him a kill, and mons with Give Turn to support him, and you’ll be plowing through the enemy’s lines like nobody’s business.

Try and keep your team as flexible as possible.

My one is based on water assist at the beginning - warca, cryo and hydrokaizer protected by esperizon for stun absorb moving to a rexo and bloodfury in the centre supported by protectors, healers and seahowl give turn with nightlord and a few death revenges at the end including taloknight, and freenix with create duplicate and switch before dragaia and last bite at the end.

Issue with this would be up against one of the monsters with twin knockback…

There’s no worry because the AI always uses unwanted friends lol

What happens if the sudden deaths kills rexo, then your whole team is wasted :joy:

You can always skip turn and then Timestrike.

Take a team like mine, my highest move that I use is stun flash at 250 but he would be stunned and then the next is protect focus at 160, so it would take a while to get that kill

Flaredon beside Rexo. There’s always a way to get a kill with Rexo.

How good is flaredon? I’m using nimboss and baricazor, but haven’t bothered levelling him because of these 2

Auto protectors (such as bariacazor) are the least reliable in terms of tanking (only a 60% chance to block attacks for teammates and also weak to both sleep killer and protector killer) but you don’t have to use a move to start protecting your team. Protect focus users are the most tanky (and the fastest) but their weakness is that they are extremely vulnerable to protector killer before they use protect focus. The regular tanks have 2 kinds: 4 stars (such as skyther) and 5 stars (such as flaredon). Both of these tanks get hold ground and stun absorb but the 5 star tanks are generally bulkier and also have access to stealth teammate. These tanks are generally more reliable and provide the team with more utility than the other two (stun absorb and purify and stealth teammate if it’s a 5 star). They also are guaranteed to survive at least 1 protector killer thanks to hold ground. In conclusion, there isn’t really a “best” out of these 3 kinds of tanks. It just depends on your own team.

Flaredon and Esperizon are the best IMO given they have stealth teamate and a bit more bulkier than the 4 stars - the autos are just not reliable enough…

Don’t forget Mossgoliath and Armavolt! I’m using Flaredon primarily because it has a +4. I would swap between the elements only when I’m farming their respective dungeons for materials.

Only reason for nimboss is stealth teammate, auto protect and then sleep bomb which brings in a purifier and helps get me survivor

if anything having a Protect Focus and 5 Star Stun Protector and Stealth is the best defense IMO

Ive found the 5 star protect teammate users the best myself. their good stats from the start along with the support of stealth teammate/purify I find I like better than protect focusers, mainly for the reason Ic3b0rn said, protect killer. And I am certainly not a fan of auto protect, I find it one of those things that is great when youre facing it, and worst when using it. xD

Death roulette when you are greatly outmatched
