Hi @Dev_VKC i have a question regarding skill set prototypes.
i was just wondering how hard it would be to implement monsters with more than 2 passive abilities say at the cost of an active skill?
is this something that you and the dev team have considered?
i noticed a lot of the newer monsters have passives which do multiple things at once.
i was thinking about monsters like the special rockoid types and was considering them having a gimmick by having 3 passives as they usually get 3 active skills.
maybe you can make a new set of special monsters that have triple passive skills as thier feature?
i think you have both misunderstood. the question was whether or not an active skill could be replaced by a passive. for example having a monster with weak attacks but 3 defence passives to make up for it.
imagine a rockoid with its usual autoprotect. thats 1 passive.
then you could have another 2 passives. say hold ground and that healing every time it gets a turn like crabriel.
by no means am i suggesting giving monsters who already have full skillsets (4 active, 2 passive) extra passives.
Shouldn’t be problematic at all to do, code wise. Just create a class of “active” moves that cannot be selected in combat, but still grant passive effects, and when you open the MonsterDex they look like this:
