I know you like to put the high quality icons from the devs, but why don’t you put a normal cropped snapshot of an icon meanwhile?
Maybe take it from the shared friend icon or if you set rules how to share it, the forum members can snapshot it for you.
Once you get the better version you can still exchange them.
It’s maybe more work, but at least the list is more complete, even if not perfect quality.
Simply put: too much effort. I’ve got too many other things I want to spend my time doing
