The GOAT Debate

Thank you all for the most entertaining read, it was just what I needed to relax myself. As for the one true goat of Neo, there’s a certain someone who runs circles around y’all. I’ll give you but one tiny hint; it’s me, myself or I. Now choose carefully.

You know what would be awesome is if the game could somehow not allow you to ever reuse your most common team from previous ranked PvP. I know it would be an impossible programming nightmare but it would still be really cool.

You could use the same 16 if you want but the order would have to he different.

Whatever sequence of monsters you used most last ranked PvP would be banned in all subsequent ranked PvPs.

I don’t think the community gangs up on him. I one for think he deserves the number one spot, not because he is cliche and doesn’t change his style but because he plays the best team he can play. I don’t understand why you guys are blaming him for playing the same thing “over and over again” when it is clear that this is the dev’s fault and not Mr.x.

When is the last time the devs did anything to nerf AP spam?
In fact, they buffed the team by removing TT from the meta game since BB teams benefited the most out of it. Also, they nerfed shocking entrance even more making AP spam less needing monsters that can abrorb stun.

Let’s be honest, I kind of think the “rules” tournament you guys created were somof them biased. Like building a whole team with only fire or water or whatever.

The element rule came after what monster you picked as a captain or/and vice captain. Therefore not bias but your own “disruption”

And I believe one of the rules allowed you to pick your own element

Nope!

For the record, here are the special rules used in the community tournament so far…

It was decided that (1) encouraged unhealthy teams (AP spam) but I don’t think the Devs realised that people wouldn’t like it when they decided to make the official special rule this PvP. It was also decided (2) and (3) were great except allowing people to use monsters which had the moves made it incredibly annoying for players to constantly remember they’re not allowed to use certain moves on the monster.

(4), (5) and (6) worked very well with each being restricting but in a fun way. (7), (8) and (9) were also good fun and very unique.

  1. No chrono monsters. Must include a 0-4 star monster for every 6 or 7 star monster.

  2. No blood moves. Only two elements allowed (one being captain’s). Using a blood move results in instant loss.

  3. No stun. No protect. Taunt is allowed and stun/protect monsters allowed but using the stun/protect move results in instant loss.

  4. Element challenge: 1x legendary or mythic from each element, 1x super epic from each element and the last four can be any element with 1x epic, 1x 3*, 1x 2* and 1x 0-1*.

  5. Element revenge: Loser of previous battle chooses an element, they create a team using only that element. Other person creates a team using only the element which the chosen element is strong against. E.g. Loser chooses water so the winner must use fire. Captain must be included even if outside the element, rocks and other summoned monsters ignore the element restriction.

  6. Captain’s curse: Use both captain and vice captain. All other monsters cannot be the same element as those two monsters.

  7. Offense wins games, defense wins championships: All fights 10v10, normal captain rules and best of three…
    a) Player A creates a team with first 5 monsters being protectors. Player B no restrictions.
    b) Player B creates a team with first 5 monsters being protectors. Player A no restrictions.
    c) Unrestricted team building.

  8. Scout’s warning: Winner of previous battle creates a 14-monster team. They choose two monsters to “hide”, remove them, then take a screenshot to send to the opponent before replacing them. The loser of the previous battle creates a 16-monster team after seeing the screenshot sent by the opponent.

  9. Accomplice dilemma: No captain, use vice captain instead. Create a team using only two elements: the vice captain’s element and the one weak to that.

I think rank should be entirely based off of winrate tbh with some randomization for actual slots for the case where there are 20 people with the exact same winrate.

I remember when Ahmed4bh was still learning the game. He’s come so far. sniff

I’ve had my time in the spotlight, but unfortunately apple says I can’t play anymore.

Maybe they’ll sort it out but doubtful.

Game says I haven’t bought it, and app store won’t let me buy it again even though I’ve purchased it. I can’t use paid apps right now as a result.

So unless devs make game permanent f2p then I’m screwed.

Ohh in that case I win the first maybe 5 matches with 100% win rate and stop playing
Sounds fun :blush::joy:

Add a certain number of required matches like 40 or so to be ranked. Simple as that.

If you win 40 matches in a row with no losses you deserve number 1 imo.

Something like this.

Btw i did +120 before snake girl came out.

Damn right and I’ll do it again
Cuz I am right so I gots to win

Yeah sure, like that.

If someone else were able to do that though you would have to play more matches in order to get top 1.

Maybe make it such that 100% winrate with 40 wins < 100% winrate with 41+ wins. That would probably be fair.

Reality this is impossible for two players to have +40 with 100% winrate in top bracket.

99% of the time they would meet up and someone will take the win

So then the system would be working as intended. Finding the best player.

Or what if PvP banned the use of the top 5 monsters from previous PvP? That would also be a really simple organic way to force fresh teams.

That would be really cool.

This would not effect top players as the top players can substitute monsters and will heavily effect mid tier and lower tier players.
