Summary: Normally only 1% of the players will win, but if you have never won in that Season (usually 10 weeks per Season) you just need to finish in the top 10%. This way people who don’t win get better odds of winning as time goes by.
1). We will keep a list of every player that has won a grand prize in a mission
2). The list will be wiped out every 10 weeks (number may change based on feedback). We will refer to this period as a Season.
3) If you have NOT won a grand prize through finishing in the top during a Season, then you are placed in pool A.
4) If you have won a grand prize through finishing in the top during a Season, then you are immediately placed in pool B.
5) For players in pool A, the number of grand prizes awarded in each mission will equal to 10% of the people who completed (everyone in both pools who got to the end including the people who lost) the prior week’s mission.
6) For players in pool B, the number of grand prizes awarded in each mission will equal to 1% of the people who completed (everyone in both pools who got to the end including the people who lost) the prior week’s mission.
Because to me it will determine how am I gonna run the dungeon this weekly event, or not bother if it’s not that worth of waking up in the middle of the night (my local time).
That’d be the point of “wait and see.” Welcome to what a vast of majority of players must do, anyways. You can either risk it or not; it’s up to you.
That’s why they don’t release move sets with the advertisement for the event. You aren’t supposed to know beforehand, save for the betas, and then you’re supposed to attempt to get it anyways, even if it isn’t all that great.
People (including me) ask because in some weeks someone told moves and stats (cryo, cyber for example), so it seems legitimate to ask for them. Asking is allowed, answering is courtesy (not an obligation).
You have to admit that it’s easy to complain about people asking the skills when you know the moves of every single ark in the game…
Kyashan is right; it’s completely fair to ask given the nature of previous OM’s.
If you guys want more players, you need a friendly forum. With all due respect, Crystal, your above posts are not helpful in that way. Even though I do agree it doesn’t make sense to know the movesets before the OM actually starts.
Given the nature of previous OM’s, the movesets were revealed for arks that people were obviously going to try for, even if they don’t necessarily use them all now, because they were 11 & 12-star arks (why wouldn’t you try and get any of these, even if the moves weren’t revealed to begin with?).
The whole point to introducing new arks into the game is for there to be a SURPRISE factor, albeit a small one. Asking for the movesets here isn’t “completely fair,” either. Not everyone has access to the forums, despite knowing about them (if they even do), which would give a *slight* advantage to those who are simply deciding whether or not to attempt the OM beforehand. If you’re only asking for a moveset simply to decide if you should even attempt the OM, you should wait. I’d understand if it was purely curiosity, but asking the day before isn’t curiosity. It’s only really selfish.
As a side note, if you have a problem with my posts, report them. There’s nothing unfriendly in what I’ve said. I’m being realistic and pragmatic.
I do actually think the moves shouldn’t be spoiled, but I suppose we can send them in private message for people who really need to know. That way it’s not spoiled for everyone? Not entirely sure. I usually give the info out, but it’s true that spoiling may not be a good idea.
I would like to think that while this is a public forum open to anyone we are part of a club and in turn privy to some fringe benefits… Like seeing the stats before the ark comes out thanks to the awesome betas that reside here. This has been a Friday tradition for every ark up until now and I look forward to seeing the new ark and it’s stats on here each week before Saturday. I don’t really understand why now of all times after three seasons this is an issue
I’ll second that.
Ironheart’s moveset wasn’t revealed on the forums until Saturday, so it’s not like we should come to expect it.
I have the feeling we were getting spoiled by the testers.
I’m currently having problems with accessing my data atm, so I won’t be able to post stats for awhile BUT if we really want to discuss this, I can set up a poll with yes for show the details or no, don’t spoil
I mean, I’m not against it. I hope that’s not the idea I’m putting across; I’m sorry if people think that.
I just believe the original intent was for them to be a surprise in order to motivate people to do EVERY OM, as opposed to picking and choosing as they’re now doing. It puts those who don’t read the forums religiously (or even at all) at a slight disadvantage.
I actually think I was misunderstood. I’m totally fine with no one posting the move set - I don’t care. I’m going to get the ark either way to have a good time with it and see if I can make it worth a use or two.
I’m saying that the unnecessary sarcasm to people who don’t post here very much really is both unnecessary and detrimental to the growth of the forum. This is simply on the premise of wanting to have more people post. If I were new, or even just shy, I wouldn’t want to post here if the regulars responded like that.
And, by the way, if you don’t want to do something because it’s “an advantage” then just get rid of the OM’s. The advantage/disadvantage argument makes so sense when the point of OM’s is to supply better arks to some people and not to others.
*makes no sense
/rant. I’m just too into this game to want to see it go downhill ever further haha
Bashing a game isnt a good way to ask the devs to fix it.And many of us older members dont show sarcasm to newer players,we usually just are more friendly to other older players like us,as we’re more comfortable with them. And the idea of all these players joining the forums only for 100 gold and not doing anything at all is just sick.If you’re going to join the forum, you become a part of a community, and basically are supposed to try to make the community a better place, instead of joining, leeching 100 gold, creating a random thread saying hi,making a lot of people waste their time on that thread, and never come back again. And there are also the new players who just necro/troll/bump/ or are jerks, and try to ruin the community.Im not trying to be rude, just posting my thoughts on the facts. Some older players ARE snobbish, but the newer players arent the only ones getting this kind of treatment from these players.
