Yeah, this event happened a few years ago when the game got actual new content every once and a while

Yes, it’s the Spring story event from 3 years ago which first showcased Sakuralisk. You can see it referenced here: Spring egg festival arriving. - #7 by Anne Can’t actually find a thread about the story event specifically… probably because people were too excited over how strong Sakuralisk was (at the time it also had stun counter in 2nd form).

I ask me why there are no such things anymore, it seems that they are lazy to create new monsters for important dates, definitely the game was better before at this point

This game used to really have personality, I still think it does but not as much as it used to have once… With all the fun story events.
I appreciate good worldbuilding in a game almost as much as I appreciate good gameplay
