What did you get from your Eggs? (Part 2)

Will spending here give me any benefit… I want both those legends but now I only have 300 gems, I spent almost 900 gems on the newly released mythic

lol no

Hmmmm~ not really save your gems! Shrine is more important! Legenderies rotate around quite frequently

I have spent 1400 gems for cw boss but didn’t get him this time either I have previously spent around 800 gems when he was released :sob: still no good luck

Damn that’s so frustrating :scream::scream::scream:

So many? Legends should have a smaller pity counter too

Fun fact - after those I opened ~15 more paid packs later in the week and got 4 of her copies.

Just for the numbers (I might have miscounted, but here’s what I got):

52 packs, 39 legendaries, 4 mythics (1 non-featured).

That number of legendaries is upper 10% of luck.

That number of mythics is basically well within normal expectations. Getting fewer than 4 featured is 45% chance of happening and you’re equally likely to get 3 mythics or 4 mythics (20% chance for each).

I mean no disrespect by pointing this out. I just saw the video titled “unlucky hatches” with a thumbnail calling them dry and the runtime was long so I decided to count and see what the hatch results were actually like. If you combine the 15 extra packs you did and the 4 mythics you got from that then the luck is obviously insane (upper 10% again, like with the legendary luck).

My average awakening, and based on what other whales have shared during new festival drops, is usually around 35 packs. I personally count anything over 50 packs without getting 4 featured copies as a dry hatching, even if the odds technically suggest otherwise.

As for the number of legendary eggs, we do not even notice or count them anymore. It is all about spamming mythics.

And yes, I was burning through paid gems later in the week to farm more tickets because I knew Zephyramus was coming soon. Awakening something from zero copies without discounted paid packs costs an absurd amount of gems.

I don’t know how you could end up with that figure, the average number of mythics (counting standard pool too) should only be 3.5 at that point, ignoring pity.

Are the discounted packs 30 paid gems?

If they are, you’re effectively paying 900 gems for each Zephyramus shard, versus just hatching for Zephyramus directly and paying ~533 gems per shard.

Nice math but we both know that having guaranteed copies available in the shop is not the same as relying on average luck. Any big spender will tell you that.

Not everything needs to be overanalyzed every time.

Quick note from my side, those 15 paid packs on Alyce were actually more valuable for my Zephyramus awakening than opening packs in its own featured banner.

Each to their own, but I’d definitely recommend to anyone to go with the best efficiency where they can. When someone is spending lots it’s even more important to use that spending wisely!

900 vs 533 is a no brainer to me. The guaranteed vs RNG makes no sense here because you’re still facing RNG to get the 7* tickets so it’s apples to apples.

It is not exactly like that. To keep awakening everything back to back, which for me has been 36 mythics since January 4th, you need to have myth tickets saved or farmed strategically. That way you are not stuck spending 90 packs on a single banner just to awaken one mythic.

These methods basically saved me from having to buy the regular 150 gem packs without bonuses. Just buying out all the gem plus gem deals was enough to keep up and collect everything I was missing.

Of course there is a lot more to it. Clearing the shop daily (especially gamble deals), collecting all possible rewards from PvE, opening paid packs to farm myth tickets, using paid gems only during festivals, and saving free gems for standard banners are all part of it.

Standard pool mythics were the last ones to do, but Gold Egg Tickets helped slowly finish them off over time.

I felt much more comfortable having 6 myth tickets saved and 2k gems on the account to guarantee I could get that last mythic no matter what. It helped me avoid overspending, which a lot of people unfortunately fall into and is definitely not a healthy approach.
