recently awakened him. i would love to hear some tips on team building and use.

is he best in FL or somewhere inbetween?

do you guys team build to pierce opponents while shielding the own team or is angel meat-ing him the best move?

Nophiam really isn’t a good monster. It’s sad they nerfed him when they refuse to nerf the recently broken creatures

But if you really want to use it, I advise you to use it with monsters like Satomi and Bridalith. Something like Nophiam in front of Brideith in front of Satomi, or Satomi in front of Brideith. The most important thing is that you need to have enough piercing monsters, otherwise you’ll regret it a lot.

When I use it I mk sure all my monsters has piercing, you can use it with Satomi and Bridalith or G.f Mizu but she is optional cause u would need to make all monsters behind have less than 50% speed or sleep immunity since she will put them to sleep for a short time, but its good when battling someone. Angel meat is also optional you can use to remove a weakness from ur team or just for fun if the enemy ha nothing to kill it with and you wanna show off lol

This.

Bridalith behind us ideal if you have her, but not necessary. Satomi is outclassed these days but Nophiam is one of the ways to make it playable.

Basically the important thing is having piercing in your team so the enemy shields barely affect you. With that covered, it’s all upside. Nophiam itself is very strong and if you can ever get 2 on the battlefield you’re very hard to beat. 3 is game over for the opponent.

Nophiam pretty much provides great value every turn and punishes the opponent hard if they don’t kill it first or have lots of piercing themselves. The issue is that it’s slow and doesn’t set up kills on the enemies unless you’re already killing/removing enemies. So if you’re on the back foot then it’s no good, but in most other cases it does well.

It’s very good in PvE too, so you can play around in SCB or similar to get a feel for it

I like using him with nikki next. She’s basically always shielded. Also he sort of makes medbie semi-viable.

basically piercing stuff works. The interesting thing is he makes some of the slower monsters shine because of the shielding. Like i said Medbie works well (you can convert buns and she pierces-and her SS actually comes up more than you would expect). Lucifelle is another good option, in PvP second forms are becoming rarer but in PvE she often has a target.

thanks guys! i have some piercers such as lucifelle (awakened). I’m interested in the idea of cloning him one or two times using angel meat. do you guys put tokens in your teams for that or sacrifice viable monsters? also, is there any point in using angel meat on opponent monsters? apart from piercers what other monsters synnergize well with him? eg. the ones that stealth the team on entrance or auto protect etc. last question lol: has anyone tried running him with auro or nepthys and cloning him with monsters that would in turn get revived?

This guy was nerfed soo hard just because he was a shop mythic

Last season I encountered several players using this mythic and it was easily negated by Azulin’s passive ability.

I’ve enjoyed using it with special rocks like Triploid, Angeloid, Zomboid, Meatoid and Diamonoid. The shield makes them more of a pain to kill and some give extra synergy benefits plus they are all fine targets to angel meat. Otherwise, it’s perfectly fine to angel meat anything that would be upgraded, is stunned, etc. The SS sometimes lets you angel meat a teammate if it lines up nicely.

An important thing to remember with angel meat is the new Nophiam comes with a shield, so it’s almost like a stronger Nophiam you’re making.

I’ve used Nophiam a lot… I think I’ve done it maybe once and it was to trigger a revenge.

Yes. It’s good, just like anything else which is similar with Neph/Auro. The thing is that you’re being very passive if you have one of those on your battlefield and you’re temporarily using two other monsters to make a clone. That means your opponent probably gets four turns to be proactive in the time your team gets one. So it’s not really a PvP thing you can intend to do… it’s only going to work properly when you’re already winning.

The whole angel meat plan in PvP was far more effective when Nophiam had high speed and angel meat was lower TU. However, that proved way too strong so it was nerfed. Now it’s more like you take the opportunity when it opens up, or with something like the special rocks like I mentioned.

thanks! i figured using him with airavalon makes for some great synergy! you’ll have a few shielded rockoids to angel meat that also offer great distractive/ defensive value. and to top it off i follow that up with rinmu whom i just awakened the other day (i agree with your less optimistic analysis on her active skills btw) that can then push back monsters that killed some of the rockoids.

sounds reasonable, thank you!
