Its a tournament that is meant for fun.
I dont care about winning it or losing it. That is exactly why i suggested after the update in order to explore new teams

I have a few concerns for this tournament

The final rule of not repeating monsters puts the F2P at a huge disadvantage and promotes needing a large monster collection, as much as skill. (Although I acknowledge it takes skill to build multiple teams without repeating monsters). As an example, I have 56 legends, most of them are from the rare egg pool and I would be forced into using 3/4 of my collection, where most of them are not going to make the cut. Yet given the freedom to use the limited monsters that I have every game, I consistently finish high in PvP.

The person making and/ or enforcing the rules for the tournament shouldn’t be competing. The rules state they are enforced at the host’s discretion, yet the host is competing. Sherlock did not compete in his own tournament and that’s the right decision.

The fact that recognised players get priority. We want to promote new players, but also there might be excellent players who don’t post as much on the forum, or are simply not on Mr X’s radar because they are prevalent on Line chat but not the forum.
For those reasons, I cannot/ will not enter. Good luck to those who do.
Final rule prompts team building most F2p that are high level actually have 50+ legendaries so they should be fine and be able to build 3 good teams.
As for not participating its totally an excuse as am restricted by the rules as of others and any mod wants to shuffle the start up i have no problem with.
Definitely good players will have priority and i also said ranked level will decide on who goes in. As of players not in fourms are on line/whatsapp or any other social group i cant post everywhere so please share the link or send me a pm you want to join.
I think asking someone to promote on Line would be a good idea.
As for the team building, yeah a F2P could put 3 decent teams together. I’m sure I could. But resorting to B and C tier mons because you’ve exhausted your top guys is never gona win a final. Ultimately that person might win a final without that rule in place. It definitely suits a paying or previously paying player, as well as longer standing players.
In sport, it doesn’t matter how unbiased the referees might seem, they don’t ref matches involving their own team/ country. To do so would be extremely unwise and opens up a can of worms no matter how honest the intentions might seem. This is similar to what you’re doing.
The rules as I mentioned in my second paragraph already favour you, as you created them in the knowledge that you have the strength in depth to achieve. I have no doubt you would do the draw honestly, but there are other matters at play, such as the DESIGN of the rules, the ENFORCEMENT of the rules etc. Even time frames could suit you.
You simply should not enter your own tournament sorry.

I was joking lol because this thread went dead after the last update when it should’ve stayed active and the tourney should’ve been completed by now if it had occurred.
