Having obtained all six First Ones, Gilgam and the Reconquista began preparations to execute their ultimate plan, but the Grand Champion of Verosia, with the help of Professor Celsus and the Bard, continued their attempt to thwart them. The Professor then detects Reconquista activity 1826 years into the future, which happened to be the time period from where Celsus and the Bard hailed from. After meeting up with the Bard, whose real name turned out to be Anton, the Champion heads to Celsus’s observatory. However, the Reconquista have beaten them to it, and Gilgam runs off with a time travel device that Celsus constructed.
But Gilgam’s victory is short-lived, as his henchman Kairus betrays him and takes the device for himself. The Champion and Gilgam are forced to work together to defend themselves from the rogue Reconquista agents. Agreeing to work together temporarily, the two are joined by Anton and Eric as they pursue Kairus to the Equinox Point, where lies an ancient portal.
At the Equinox Point, they once again confront Kairus, who is trying to use the portal to reach the planet Earth, humanity’s forgotten place of birth. Kairus, who reveals himself to be not so human, explains that he is working for an entity called the Black Beast. According to Gilgam, the Black Beast is what caused Earth to be destroyed and become uninhabitable, forcing humanity to flee to the stars and populate other worlds. Kairus intended to use the portal to bring the Black Beast to Verosia, so it might destroy this planet as well!
However, despite Kairus’s inhuman powers, the Champion and Gilgam manage to stop him and retrieve Celsus’s time travel device from him. However, Gilgam then betrays his allies and uses the device and portal to travel back to ancient Earth, in order to defeat the Black Beast and change the course of human history… Though his intentions may be noble, Gilgam’s success would mean the complete disappearance of Verosia and its people.
Gilgam must be stopped!
